Recycled Fabric: As part of an ongoing effort to reduce our carbon footprint, the development team searched high and low for the finest, high-performance fabric that was manufactured from recycled materials. The Italian-made, Borgini fabric used in Summit jerseys met the needs in every way. It is lightweight, wicking, durable, stretchy and fully recycled polyester with spandex.

Raw Edge: A raw edge cut sleeve is a thing of beauty. It's a seamless marriage between your arm and the sleeve, enhancing both comfort and aerodynamic performance. And, it looks elegant.

Hexagonal Mesh: We used a hexagonal mesh in strategic locations not only because it has a stunning appearance, but because it offers exceptional breathability, facilitates stretch and reduces the weight of the garment. 

Semi-Auto Locking Zipper: Rounding out the little details is the use of a YKK semi-auto lock zipper, which features a textured rubber pull for better gripping. The Torrent has been designed with our Aero fit to minimize flapping and movement while riding. This is possible due to the ultra-light, DWR laminated fabric with 4-way mechanical stretch. The knit outer fabric also makes this vest soft to the touch and quiet, especially when compared to hardshells with similar waterproof capabilities. Additionally, the Torrent features a long drop tail for optimal fit in your riding position. But, what sets this vest apart from others on the market is the use of woven Cocona particles from 37.5® Technology. Those amazing, little particles attract humidity and use your body heat to rapidly transfer perspiration from the interior to the exterior of the garment. This rapid transfer of moisture ensures a regulated body temperature and can increase athletic performance by as much as a 25% (results based on an independent University of Colorado study). We've used a durable, Nylon/Spandex stretch-mesh throughout the Tellus Short Liner to maximize breathability and wicking capability, and mesh-knit leg bands with silicone grippers for a secure fit. Unlike most MTB-style liners, we sourced a top-shelf, Elastic Interface® chamois. We chose it for it's smaller footprint that won’t get hung up on your saddle, and because of the advanced foam package that will keep you comfortable for long days in the saddle. 

While designed to be paired with the Tellus Short, the Tellus Short Liner can actually be worn with any short that does not have a liner. As such, we constructed it with a slightly shorter inseam so it will not show below the shell, but also made sure to incorporate a soft silicone gripper that will keep the legs locked in place for hours.
